Terms of Service
Last updated October 27, 2026
Welcome to MakeARap. These terms cover your use of makearap.com and everything you create with it. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them.
The service
MakeARap turns your words into rap lyrics, recorded songs, scene images and lyric or performance videos using AI models. Browsing the home page, examples and shared raps is open to everyone. Writing, recording and making videos need an account and credits.
We keep improving the studio, so features, models and prices can change. We will tell you before a change affects a plan you pay for.
Your account
You can sign in with Google or with a code sent to your email. Keep access to that email or Google account secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission to use MakeARap, and any purchase must be made by or with them.
One person, one account. Accounts created to collect extra free credits may be suspended.
Credits, plans and payments
Studio actions use credits, and the price of each action is shown before you start it. Signed-in creators can claim free daily credits; unused daily credits do not carry over to the next day.
Credits from packs and plans never expire, even after a plan ends. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money.
Plans (Plus, Pro and Studio) renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; your plan then runs to the end of the period you paid for and does not renew.
If a recording or video does not come through, its credits are returned to your balance automatically.
Payments are processed by our payment partner Waffo, which acts as the merchant of record and adds any applicable tax at checkout. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
Your creations
You keep the rights you have in the words you type. As between you and MakeARap, you own the lyrics, songs and videos generated for you, to the extent the law allows, and you may use them for personal or commercial purposes.
To run the service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, reproduce and display your inputs and creations: to generate them, show them in your account, play them on share links you create, and, for raps you share, feature them in our examples or gallery. You can ask us to remove a featured rap at any time.
Anyone with a share link can view and play that rap. Only share what you are happy for others to see.
AI output can be similar to output created for other people, and we cannot promise that a creation is unique or free of third-party rights.
Fair use of the studio
Keep it creative and kind. You may not use MakeARap to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights;
- harass, threaten, bully or demean real people, or share private information about them; roasts should stay good-natured and be made with people who are in on the joke;
- create hateful, violent, sexually explicit or self-harm content, or any sexual content involving minors;
- impersonate real people or artists, or present a creation as their work or voice;
- spam, scrape, overload or get around the site’s limits, credits or security checks.
We may refuse a request, hide a creation or suspend an account that breaks these rules.
Reporting content
If you see a creation on MakeARap that breaks these rules, whether on a share link or in our examples and gallery, please report it:
- use the “Report this rap” link on the rap’s page; or
- email support@makearap.com with the subject “Report”, the link to the rap and what is wrong with it.
Copyright owners can also follow our Copyright & DMCA policy. We keep the identity of people who report confidential and do not share it with the reported user unless the law requires it. Knowingly false or abusive reports may lead to action on the reporter’s account.
How we review content
Automatic checks: before a song is recorded, every lyric line goes through an AI safety review based on these rules. Unsafe lines are rewritten automatically, and any line that still fails is flagged to its creator. The music, image and video models we use also apply their providers’ own safety filters.
Human review: our team reads every report by hand and checks the creation, the words it was made from and the account’s history before deciding.
Response times:
- reports about child safety, credible threats of violence or terrorism: the content is taken down and reviewed within 24 hours;
- all other reports: we reply within 3 business days and normally resolve them within 7 business days. If a case needs longer, we tell the reporter why.
Actions, depending on how serious the violation is:
- a warning to the creator;
- removing the creation from its share link and from our examples and gallery;
- suspending the account, or closing it permanently for serious or repeated violations;
- reporting child sexual abuse material or credible threats to the relevant authorities, such as NCMEC or the police.
We let the reporter know the outcome. If we act on your creation or account and you think we got it wrong, reply to our email to appeal and we will review it again.
AI output
Lyrics, songs and videos are generated automatically. We check facts and safety, but output can still be inaccurate, offensive or unexpected. Review your creation before you share or rely on it; you are responsible for how you use it.
The voices and performers are original, fictional characters. They are not recordings or imitations of real artists.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on MakeARap infringes your copyright, follow the steps in our Copyright & DMCA policy. We remove infringing material and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Ending your use
You can stop using MakeARap at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing us. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk. Paid credits on an account closed for a serious breach of these terms may be lost.
Disclaimers and liability
MakeARap is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, MakeARap is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50 if that is greater. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service grows. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for significant changes, let you know by email or on the site. Continuing to use MakeARap after a change means you accept it.
Photos and characters
The dressing room turns a photo into an illustrated character. By uploading a photo you confirm that:
- it shows you, or a person who has agreed to it being used this way;
- the person is an adult, is not a public figure, and is the only person in the photo; pet photos show one cat or dog and no person;
- the photo is not sexual, violent, hateful or otherwise inappropriate, and you have the right to use it.
Photos that break these rules are declined. Using someone’s photo without their consent, or to impersonate or mislead, is a violation of these terms and is handled with the steps in “How we review content”, up to closing the account. Characters made from photos of people are always illustrated, and videos made with them may carry an AI label.
